Our Specialist Doctors

We are a team of fully accredited skin specialists (dermatologists) who have been practising medicine and dermatology for more than 20 years. We have been trained in the United Kingdom and in Singapore, and are Fellows of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) and Fellows of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.

What distinguishes us from Non-Specialists?

It takes more 8 to 10 years of medical training to become a Specialist doctor.  A doctor would need to complete specialist post-graduate training and pass examinations based on Singapore’s training standards  before applying to the accreditation board. In other words, a Specialist must first be accredited by the Specialists Accreditation Board. In addition, the doctor must also be under Specialist Register (administered by Singapore Medical Council) before he can practise as a Specialist.

To know whether the doctor you are consulting is really a Specialist, you can visit the Ministry of Health website (click here): type in the doctor’s name, click the “Specialist” button and click “Search”.

Most Specialists in Singapore are also affiliated to the Academy of Medicine Singapore and bears the title “FAMS”. In addition, they have also attained higher post-graduate diplomas from the Royal College of Physicians, and bear the title “MRCP” or “FRCP”.

You can be assured that our doctors are full-fledged Specialists who have undergone rigorous training both in the UK and Singapore. They are dermatologists, fully accredited by the Specialists Accreditation Board and Singapore Medical Council, and are Fellowsor Members of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, UK.
